Galvanised Steel Modular Wheelchair Ramp Kit 1080mm Wide – 1000mm to 10000mm Long, Handrails & Turning Platform

A modular steel access ramp that helps wheelchair, mobility scooter and rollator users get over door thresholds and low steps with ease. It comes in a wide range of lengths so you can choose the one that gives a safe gradient. The turning platform lets users leave the property and turn left or right before heading down the ramp, while safety edges and a pair of handrails add stability and confidence. Each 1080mm wide kit includes a lead-in ramp, the main ramp section, a square turning platform, a connection to the step or threshold, and double handrails.

Modular & Customisable

• Take it apart when needed, for example for temporary access at an event, when leaving a rented property, or during building work and maintenance.
• Assembly usually takes at least half a day, so the ramp is generally meant to stay in place for weeks, months or years. For occasional or one-day use, a folding ramp or a ramp kit with handrails may be more practical.
• Extra parts can be bought later to extend or reconfigure the ramp, for example if you move home or change your driveway or garden. Replacement parts are available if any component is damaged.
• Customisation available, including side steps, an extra platform, U-shaped handrails at the end of the ramp, contrast markers for people with impaired vision, longer ramp lengths and alternative ground connections.

Choosing Your Length

• Measure the vertical height you need to rise, then multiply it by the gradient to find the approximate ramp length. These steel ramps are recommended at a 1:12 gradient and can be built up to a maximum of 1:10 where space is limited.
• Regulations: because the ramp is portable and temporary, it does not need to meet Part M or Part K building regulations. A compliant specification can be provided on request.
