Safe Use

• Use only at a maximum gradient of 5%.
• Leave a minimum rest of 330mm on both sides of the gangway so it sits securely.
• Minimum rubber footprint of 200mm x 200mm.
• Vehicle load should be spread between 40% and 60% across the axles.
• Keep the handrails in place during use.

Choosing the Right Option

• Gangways are wide ramps for crossing trenches and only overcome small height differences.
• For loading at a gradient above 5%, vehicle ramps rated for up to 8% are a better fit; for greater heights, a pair of plant ramps (usable at a steeper gradient, for loading vehicles into vans and trailers) may suit.
