A 65mm high black rubber speed cushion with a total footprint of 2000mm long x 1800mm wide. It slows cars to around 6mph, while its wide design lets buses and emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire engines, pass over smoothly without delay. The gentle profile reduces the jolt felt by passengers, which is especially helpful for ambulances carrying patients. Widely used near schools, hospitals and in towns with mixed traffic, speed cushions improve road safety and encourage careful driving with minimal disruption to larger vehicles.

• Easy to fit through the pre-drilled fixing points; a general handyman or builder can install it with the supplied fixings and drill bit. Supplied only; installation is not included.
• Install only on a straight road – vehicles should not cross the cushion at an angle.
• Choose the lowest suitable height to give clearance to the greatest number of vehicles.
• Speed bump warning signs are recommended alongside speed cushions.
• Get the landowner's permission before installing. The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 also require you to notify the emergency services and anyone else who may be affected.
