Features
- Maximum capacity 830kg across the pair. Capacity depends on the machine's wheelbase: 710kg at 1000mm, 770kg at 1250mm, 830kg at 1500mm.
- The stated capacities apply only where the vehicle's weight is spread evenly; if your machine carries more weight over one end, ask us to check suitability before ordering.
- Tracks or wheels must be at least 150mm wide, up to a maximum of 220mm.
- Suits a load height of 1200mm to 1350mm (measured from the ground to the point where the ramps rest).
- Each ramp weighs 25.5kg (51kg per pair).
- The foot of each ramp is cut to suit the load height, giving a smooth run onto the ramp.
- Made for loading tracked plant and vehicles such as diggers, tractors, excavators and ride-on mowers, and suited to professional use in construction and landscaping.
- Not suitable for the solid wheels found on road surfacing machines; steel-tracked machinery needs industrial ramps with a rubber-coated or milled surface.
- Fully TÜV certified, so they are proven to carry the stated maximum capacity. Aluminium is durable and lighter than steel.
Connection & Fixing
- Supplied as standard with a rest-on connection, a popular choice for flatbed vehicles and tipper trucks. For beaver tail trailers a hook connection is normally recommended.
- Four connection options are available. To change from the standard rest-on connection, for example to a hook connection, let us know after you order.
- The curved rest-on lip has a pre-drilled hole for securing the ramp to the vehicle. The angled foot keeps the ramp on the ground, while its own weight and gradient hold it firmly in place.
Build & Customisation
- Customisable: custom load heights, custom sizes and nylon handles are available.
- Quotes for bespoke ramps are available on request.
- Easy to fit, made in Europe and covered by a two-year warranty.
Choosing & Using Your Ramps
- Before choosing, you need your load height, what you are loading and its maximum weight, what you are loading onto (for example a trailer, van or beaver tail trailer, which decides the connection) and the track width of your vehicle.
- For safety, do not use the ramps at more than a 30% gradient (16.5°, or 1:3.3), which is also the limit for any TÜV certified ramp. Multiply your load height by 3.3 to find the ideal ramp length. Going steeper can cause accidents or injury and may invalidate the warranty.
- The minimum load height is about 5% below the maximum. Do not use the ramps below the minimum or above the maximum load height: they will not sit flush with the ground, which reduces the capacity they can carry and voids the warranty.
- Check your machine's wheelbase (from the side, the distance between the centre of the front wheel and the centre of the rear wheel). The wheelbase changes how the weight is spread and so the capacity the ramps can take.
- Machines with uneven weight distribution or low clearance, such as scissor lifts, paving machinery and steel-tracked machines, should be checked with us first. Cars and vehicles with low clearance or front/rear overhang need a gentler gradient, so these plant ramps are generally not suitable for cars and vans; dedicated car ramps suit these better.
- Most forklifts and pallet trucks are not built for slopes and need a very long ramp; their solid wheels can also damage the ramp surface, so check with us before ordering. Container ramps suit forklifts at lower heights, and scissor lifts usually need customised ramps.
- Using a winch changes the weight distribution and greatly reduces the stated weight limits. If you plan to use one, tell us before ordering and always keep the winch rope parallel with the ramp.
- Designed, built and tested to EN 1090-3, EN 1999-1-1, EN ISO 15613, EN ISO 15614-2 and EN 1398:2009.
- Used sensibly, aluminium ramps last as long as steel ones and much longer than steel ramps with wooden inserts.
- The minimum track width is the narrowest tyre or track that can be used on the ramp surface, so the weight is spread and the ramp lasts longer.
- Secure fixing options include movable connection plates that slide into the extrusion under the loading lip and sit between the lorry bed and tailgate so the ramps cannot shift, or the supplied drop bolts through the pre-drilled loading lips.
- Built without side edges as standard. Edges can be added on request with a longer lead time, but they reduce the usable width.
- Specific lengths and widths can be made to order. Modifications carried out by anyone else invalidate the warranty.
- Dimensions may vary by up to ±2% due to manufacturing; ramp length may vary by up to 5% depending on the connection chosen.
- Folding versions are not offered for plant and tracked machinery.
Good to Know
- Sold as a pair; the price and capacity shown are for both ramps. A single ramp can be quoted on request.
- Product images are for illustration only; the actual product may differ slightly due to ongoing improvements.
