Overview
Industrial-grade aluminium loading ramps, sold as a pair, that let companies safely load heavy plant machinery into vans and trailers. With a capacity of up to 16,000kg across the pair and lengths from 2500mm to 5500mm to suit your load height and machine, they are designed for tracked and wheeled machinery including excavators, mini excavators, wheel loaders, telescopic loaders, telehandlers and other construction equipment. Suitable machines also include diggers, tractors, ride-on mowers and dumper trucks.

Features
- 580mm wide, with a minimum track width of 300mm and a maximum track width of 480mm. The minimum track width is the narrowest the tyre or track can be on the ramp surface, so the weight is spread out and the ramp lasts longer.
- Four connection options for a secure, stable fit to your vehicle or trailer. The standard rest-on connection has a pre-drilled fixing point and locking pin to hold the ramps firmly while loading, and is ideal for flat-bed vehicles and tipper trucks.
- Movable connection plates slide in the aluminium extrusion under the loading lip and sit between the lorry bed and the tailgate, so the ramps cannot shift during loading. Drop bolts can also be used through the pre-drilled loading lips.
- Angled foot, precision-cut for the recommended load height, giving a smooth transition onto the ramp.
- High-traction surface improves grip and stability for tracked and wheeled machinery and reduces the risk of skids.
- Made from aluminium for a lightweight, portable loading solution. Used sensibly, aluminium ramps should last as long as steel ramps, and much longer than steel ramps with wooden inserts.
- Built flat-top with no edges as standard. Edges can be added on request (longer lead time), but they reduce the usable width.
Safety & Standards
- Designed for a maximum gradient of 30% (16.5 degrees, 1:3.3), in line with EU guidelines. No TÜV certified ramp is designed to exceed this; going steeper can cause accident, injury or death and may invalidate the warranty.
- Made in Italy and fully TÜV certified, designed, built and tested to EN 1090-3, EN 1999-1-1, EN ISO 15613, EN ISO 15614-2 and EN 1398:2009.
- The stated maximum capacities are only valid for vehicles whose weight is equally distributed. Machines with unbalanced weight distribution (such as scissor lifts, paving machinery, steel tracked machinery and low-clearance machines) should be checked for suitability before ordering.
- Not suitable for solid-wheeled machinery or steel tracks; industrial ramps with a rubber-coated or milled surface are needed for those.
- Two-year warranty. Modifications by anyone other than the manufacturer invalidate the warranty.
Choosing the Right Ramp
- Before ordering, you need: your load height (the vertical height from the ground to where the ramp will rest), what you are loading and its maximum weight, what you are loading onto (for example a trailer, transit van or beavertail trailer, to choose the connection), and your vehicle's track width. For low-clearance items, the machine's technical data sheet may be needed.
- Length: multiply your load height by 3.3 to find the optimum ramp length.
- Do not use the ramps below their minimum load height: they will not sit flush with the floor, which reduces capacity and voids the warranty. Do not use them above their maximum load height either: the ramp will be too steep, which may cause accident, injury or death and invalidates the warranty.
- Wheelbase: view the machine from the side; the distance between the centre of the front and rear wheels (rim centre) is the wheelbase. Wheelbase affects weight distribution and so the maximum capacity the ramps can take – check your machine against the wheelbase capacities below.
- Using a winch changes the normal weight distribution and greatly reduces the stated weight limits. A winch can be used with great care, keeping the rope parallel with the ramp; please say if you plan to use one before ordering.
- Forklifts are not designed to work on inclines and need a very long ramp; their solid wheels can damage the ramp surface, so a reinforced model is often needed. Most forklifts and pallet trucks are not built for slopes – check the manual for gradient information. Please check suitability before ordering.
- Cars usually have lower clearance and cannot climb such a steep gradient, so these ramps are generally not suitable for cars and vans; vehicles with low ground clearance or front/rear overhang need a gentler gradient. Scissor lifts usually have very low clearance and often need customised ramps.

- Due to manufacturing processes, dimensions may vary by up to 2% either way; ramp lengths may vary by up to 5% depending on the connection chosen.
Customisation
- Custom load heights, lengths and widths are available, along with versions with edges and carry handles. Quotes for bespoke ramps can be supplied.
- The ramps can be custom-cut for your load height to give a smoother gradient. For low-clearance machines, a CAD simulation can be carried out to check the ramps suit your machine.
- Single ramps can be supplied on request (usually built to order).
Good to Know
- Price and capacity are for the pair.
