Features
- 1000kg capacity, suitable for manual and electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walkers and pedestrians.
- Rest and go: no installation or fixings needed. The ramp's own weight holds it in place; simply rest it against the step or kerb.
- Full-width anti-slip surface for maximum grip.
- Bevelled, sloped edges help reduce trip hazards.
- Weatherproof and low maintenance: leave it outside in place or move it whenever needed.
- Two-year warranty.
Sizes
- Height options: 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3", 3.5" and 4" (25.4mm to 101.6mm).
- Sold individually, in pieces 900mm or 1105mm wide depending on the height chosen; the width includes the sloped edges.
- Length ranges from 210mm to 635mm and weight from 4.2kg to 23.6kg, depending on height. The taller heights are quite heavy, so they are generally left in place.
- Taller heights are also available in the wider range.
Choosing & Fitting
- Measure the vertical height of the step, kerb or doorway and choose the closest height.
- If the door opens over the ramp, a ramp slightly lower than the step lets the door still open with the ramp left in place.
- Used together with a folding wheelchair ramp, choose a ramp slightly higher than the doorway so you can bridge the threshold safely.
- Trim to width with a Stanley knife or saw for narrower doorways or to fit around skirting boards. Pieces can also be cut and placed side by side for a wider ramp, for example across double doors. The ramps are not otherwise customised.
- No fixings are needed, but you can secure the ramp to the floor with rubber adhesive if you wish.
- Many uPVC doors have a protruding ledge, so a rubber ramp outside may sit in front of it and leave a gap. A rubber ramp indoors (if the floor is flat) with a folding ramp or similar outside often works best; different heights inside and out may need another solution.
- The imperial (inch) range has bevelled edges rather than straight edges, a slightly steeper gradient, and a width of 900mm to 1105mm depending on height.
Good to Know
- The natural rubber smell fades after a couple of days. Wiping the surface with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid speeds this up.
- Pictures are for illustration only; the actual product may vary due to product improvements.
