Design & Safety
- Dual handrails and guardrails let users keep three points of contact while climbing and coming down.
- A 60° ladder angle makes climbing easier.
- Choose punched metal, rubber or PVC treads for good grip and fewer slips; confirm your choice with us after ordering.
- A 75mm high toe board surrounds the working platform so tools, equipment and materials cannot fall and hurt workers or passers-by.
- The high-visibility blue finish stands out in busy areas, helping to avoid collisions with forklifts, pallet trucks and other warehouse vehicles.
Easy to Move, Stable in Use
- Fitted with wheels, so one person can roll the ladder into position and move it to other parts of the site.
- 2, 3 and 4 tread models have plunger castors that lock the ladder in place during use; models with 5 treads or more have a central brake.
- Plunger castors (also called spring-loaded or retractable castors) retract when the ladder is stepped on, keeping it firmly on the ground so it cannot roll.
- Four points of contact keep the ladder grounded, so no second person is needed to hold it, which makes work safer and more productive.
Build Quality
- Rated to a 300kg Safe Working Load (SWL) for regular use in warehouses, industrial sites and business parks.
- Made from electric resistance welded (ERW) steel tube, light yet strong, and welded together for durability.
- High-gloss powder coating resists water and scratches and is easy to clean. It is water-resistant, not waterproof, so it can be used outdoors in good weather but is best stored indoors in a dry place when not in use.
- Made in Britain and delivered fully assembled.
- One-year warranty, which can be extended to four years after purchase.
- Spare parts, including replacement wheels and castors, are available.
- Custom options: other colours, right-hand chain layout, fixed sides, exit gates and double gates.
Sizes
Platform heights run from 500mm (2 treads) to 2000mm (8 treads). The tread count includes the top platform, so 5 treads means 4 treads plus the platform. Working platform 450mm W x 400mm L, treads 450mm W x 200mm L. The main ladder is about 500mm wide; the stated width is measured at the widest point (the axle). Working height is roughly 750mm above the platform, taken between waist height and just above the shoulders of an average person.
Good to Know
- Pre-use checks must be carried out daily under the UK Work at Height Regulations, with a thorough maintenance inspection at least every six months, or more often on busy sites.
- Take care when working at height: users should read and understand the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidance, and be competent and trained in setting up and using access equipment.
- Follow the Work at Height Regulations 2005, Health and Safety Executive guidance on the safe use of ladders, and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
