Overview
A durable steel flow plate that slows traffic and keeps cars and light commercial vehicles moving in one direction. Designed for smaller car parks, private roads, private residential estates and driveways, it encourages one-way flow at speeds of up to 5mph, improving road safety and reducing congestion. The chequered plate is brightly coloured yellow for high visibility.

Features
- For cars and light commercial vehicles only, up to 1,000kg per axle.
- Maximum speed 5mph.
- Spring mechanism keeps the plate upright and discourages drivers from passing in the wrong direction.
- High-visibility yellow, powder-coated chequered anti-slip surface for optimum grip.
- Locking bolt lets traffic pass in both directions when needed, for example during maintenance works. The plate stands 88mm high, or 40mm with the locking bolt engaged.
- Install as a single straight line or in two rows to suit your road layout.
- One-year warranty. Bulk prices available.
Installation
- Surface fixed with pre-drilled fixing points, so it is easy to install or relocate – ideal for multi-storey car parks and areas where excavation is not possible, as it does not penetrate the membrane.
- Each plate uses 7 fixings. Fixings for tarmac and concrete (M10 x 120mm) and an SDS Max drill bit (14mm diameter, 150mm drill length, 276mm total length) are included free of charge.
- A general handyman or builder should be able to install it with the supplied fixings.
- Extra fixings and replacement springs are available.
Safe Use
- Flow plates must be driven over in a straight line – vehicles should not approach or cross them at an angle – so do not install them on or close to a bend.
- Use together with speed bumps or other traffic calming products and warning signs.
- Not recommended for pedestrian areas; where there is pedestrian and vehicle traffic, speed bumps are the better choice.
- For heavier vehicles, including HGVs, see our heavy duty steel flow plates.
- Images are for illustration only; the actual product may vary slightly due to product improvements.
