Overview

A heavy-duty steel directional flow plate that slows vehicles to 5mph and keeps traffic flowing one way. It works as a speed ramp and a traffic-flow control in one, stopping drivers from leaving or reversing through an entrance. Commonly used in car parks, private residential areas and industrial estates, it is rated to 15,000kg per axle for cars, vans and HGVs.

Features

  • Five spikes (teeth), each 20mm thick: driven over the right way, they fold down into the plate; driven over the wrong way, they stay upright as a barrier.
  • Stands 105mm high, dropping to 60mm with the teeth collapsed.
  • Made from reinforced steel with a chequered anti-slip surface for strength and grip.
  • High-visibility yellow and black design with red reflective cat's eyes for low-light conditions.
  • Flexible layout: combine central plates and end caps to form one continuous line, or set out individual sections to suit your road.
  • End caps are sold as a pair and interlock securely with the central plates. Fitting end caps at the ends of the run is recommended for safety.
  • One-year warranty.

Installation

  • Surface-mounted, so the plates are easy to install and remove.
  • Each central plate has 4 pre-drilled fixing holes, and each end cap has one.
  • Universal M10 x 120mm fixings for tarmac or concrete are included, along with one SDS Max drill bit per order (14mm diameter, 150mm drill length, 276mm total length).
  • A general handyman or builder should be able to fit them.

Good to Know

  • Use together with speed bumps and warning signs.
  • Vehicles must drive over the plates in a straight line, never at an angle, so do not install them on or close to a bend.
  • Not recommended for pedestrian areas; speed bumps are the better choice where people and vehicles mix.
  • Pictures are for illustration only; the actual product may vary due to product improvements.
